If you haven't read Loo Zihan's NTU valedictorian speech...

... well, you should. Click here.

The poster for his short film "Threshold" got censored just before his speech, which makes it a little more than the usual sappy go-forth-and-prosper-fest.

this is really making a mountain out of molehill.

If he truely was about championing censorship he would have done so long ago, not just because his *own work* hit an obstacle.

Um... surely you know that Zihan's first feature film, "Solos", was also censored back in 2007. He's been associated with challenging the censors ever since he became semi-famous.

If anything, it's the censors that made a mountain out of a molehill (there isn't even a nipple in that poster!). His reply was, I think, the only possible response. And of course, the Straits Times publishing the whole thing on Monday might be another mountainisation...
